This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how Yellow Panda (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the mobile application Shopping List (the “App”), available on Google Play. By installing or using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
This Policy applies to the App and to information processed in connection with it. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or applications that may be linked from the App or opened when you use system features (such as your email client or web browser).
For the core operation of the App as described in this Policy, we do not knowingly collect, store on our servers, or ask you to provide:
We do not use the App to build a personal profile about you on our systems for sale to data brokers.
To provide list-making features, the App stores the content you enter—such as list names, item names, quantities, prices, dates, and check-off status—in local storage on your device (for example using an on-device database). This processing is performed on the device to enable offline use and responsiveness.
You are responsible for the security of your device (screen lock, OS updates, backups, and who has physical access). If you uninstall the App or clear its data, locally stored information may be deleted according to the operating system’s rules.
The App may display advertisements served by Google AdMob or related Google advertising services. When ads are shown or measured, Google LLC and its partners may collect and use information in accordance with Google’s policies. This may include, depending on your device and settings:
We do not control Google’s data practices. For details, please review:
You may be able to reset or limit advertising identifiers and ad personalization through your Android device settings (for example Google Ads settings or “Opt out of Ads Personalization” where available). Doing so does not guarantee that you will see no ads; ads may still be non-personalized.
The App may request only permissions that are reasonably necessary for its stated functionality. Examples may include access to the network (for loading ads or optional features). Any permission is used in line with this Policy and Google Play’s policies. You can review or revoke permissions in your device settings; revoking a permission may limit App features.
We do not sell your personal information for money as a standalone “sale” in the traditional sense of selling a customer list. We do not share the text of your shopping lists with advertisers as part of this Policy’s description of our own practices.
If you use Android’s “Share” or similar features, data is sent to the app or service you select (email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.). We do not receive that content unless you deliberately send it to us (for example by emailing us).
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or integrity of users or the public.
Yellow Panda may be located in a country different from yours. Google’s services (including AdMob) operate globally and may process data in various countries. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own.
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to consent to data processing without parental permission). We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children through the App in a manner that requires registration with us. Third-party advertising services may still process identifiers as described in Section 5. If you believe we have received information from a child inappropriately, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it where required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), or other local laws. These may include rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and rights related to portability or opting out of certain uses. Because most list data stays on your device, you can often delete it directly in the App or by clearing app data.
To exercise rights against Google for ad-related processing, use Google’s tools and policies linked in Section 5. To contact us about rights that apply to information we hold as controller, email us at the address above. We may need to verify your request where permitted by law.
We implement reasonable practices in how we develop and distribute the App. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. Local data on your device is only as secure as your device and your practices.
Data you keep in the App remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the App, or erase app data. We do not describe a central server retention period for your list content because we do not operate that kind of sync service in the default scenario covered here. Information processed by Google for ads is retained according to Google’s policies.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version by updating the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, providing notice through the App or Google Play listing. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy, except where your consent is required by law.
The App relies on the Android platform and may integrate third-party services (including Google Play and AdMob). Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. This Policy does not govern third parties.
